Cutting Board Care Guide
Thank you for supporting handcrafted work! To keep your board looking beautiful and performing well for years to come, follow these tips:
đź§Ľ Cleaning
- Wipe with damp cloth and mild dish soap after each use.
- Rinse with clean water and dry immediately—stand upright to air dry.
- (Optional) For added sanitation, spray with full-strength white vinegar and let air dry. No rinse needed. Naturally antimicrobial and food safe.
đź§´ Conditioning
- Apply food-safe mineral oil or cutting board conditioner when wood looks dry.
- Apply with paper towel, let it sit 15–30 minutes (longer if preferred), then wipe off excess with a paper towel or lint-free cloth.
đźš« What to Avoid
- Soaking, dishwashers, bleach, or abrasive scrubbers.
- Don’t leave wet items sitting on the board.
- Avoid prolonged direct sunlight or extreme heat such as hot pots/pans.
🛠️ Touch-Ups
- Light scratches? Sand gently with 220-grit paper and reapply cutting board conditioner (easily available on Amazon, and other sites).
